From
the timeless tranquility of the desert
to the lively bustle of the city, Dubai offers
a kaleidoscope of attractions for visitors.
The
emirate embraces a wide variety of scenery in
a very small area. In a single day, the tourist
can experience everything from rugged mountains
and awe-inspiring sand dunes to sandy beaches
and lush green parks, from dusty villages to luxurious
residential districts and from ancient houses
with wind towers to ultra-modern shopping malls.
Museums in Dubai - Dubai
Museum in Al Fahidi Fort
A Visit to the Dubai museum is a must on every
Dubai itinerary
Restaurants in Dubai -
Dubai has a wide variety of cuisine to offer,
and most of the best restaurants are within hotels,
especially as hotels are some of the only restaurants
that can
serve alcohol with the meal. There are exceptions
to this rule such as Century Village, Irish Village
(next door to Century Village) and the Wafi centre,
both of which are highly recommendable for at
least a visit.
Things to do in Dubai - There are no
specific nightlife districts as many of the best
bars are in the big tourist hotels, which are
situated throughout the city. Many of these are
open until 1:00 or 2:00. A cheaper and livelier
option is the independent bars that are dotted
around town. Happy hours are common, with Thursday
and Saturday the biggest nights for going out.
Tuesdays and Sundays are often ‘Ladies Night',
with female revelers receiving free drinks.
Hotels in Dubai - Many
to choose from, all prices and types.
Nightlife,
Bars and Music in Dubai -
Drinking a pint of beer could land you in prison
in some parts of the Middle East, however, in
Dubai, alcohol is tolerated, with non-Muslims
allowed to imbibe alcohol in the city's bars,
restaurants, clubs and hotels Indeed, it is easy
to forget all about the local attitudes to alcohol
when on a wild night out in a city whose nightlife
is increasingly nefarious. Although non-Muslims
are the only people officially allowed to drink,
often you can find Dubai Arabs enjoying a pint
in one of the many bars. |
